The HLT/NAACL 2004 conference hotel is the Park Plaza, just off the Boston Public Gardens in downtown Boston. The meetings and reception will all be located at the Park Plaza. There are a huge range of restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel, in easy striking distance for conference-day lunches, and the hotel is a few minutes walk to Newbury Street, Beacon Hill, Chinatown and the Theater District.
Reservation
online reservation
We have worked hard to negotiate a reasonable rate with the Park Plaza, and we are very pleased to offer single rooms for $139/night and double rooms for $144. This rate is also available for three days before and after the conference, for those who want to spend some extra time in Boston. There are a limited number of rooms, so please book early. The reservation deadline for this rate is April 15, 2004.
Phone reservations can be made at 800-225-2008 or 617-426-2000. Be sure to reference NAACL to get the group rate (if you call it "HLT/NAACL" they will be very confused and likely unable to find the group information).
Student Housing

The Hostelling International Boston is a fantastic facility with basic but clean rooms, a huge kitchen, a laundry room, private bathrooms, email terminals in the lobby and a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are dormitory-style, with 6 people each. Booked on-line, the rooms are $29.99/night. It's about a mile from the Park Plaza, and right around the corner from a subway stop that will take you to within a block of the Park Plaza. Make your reservation early --this is the only such accomodation in the area and it does fill up.
