Abstract for group DVoiceR Digital Voice Recorder We have decided to design and implement a recording system. We will make use of the audio peripherials on the board as well as the Xilinx FPGA. We will use the AKM AK4565 to interface with a microphone and speakers. The memory required to store the audio sounds will be designed in software, and the communication links between the microphone, the FPGA, and the speaker will be designed in hardware. In our system you will be able to directly speak into the microphone and your voice will come out of the speaker, or you will be able to record your voice for a limited amount of time and play it back. We will use control inputs to decide how we want our microphone, the FPGA, and the speakers to interact.
