Past and present...

I am from Gondia near Nagpur in India. I did my primary and high schooling at Municipal school, Gondia. Then I went to Nagpur for Higher secondary education (11th and 12th) at Shri Shivaji Science College. I did my B.E.(Hons) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, completed in 1997 (some pictures). I worked at Motorola India Electronics in Bangalore for two years. Then I came to United States for my M.S. in Computer Science at Columbia University. Now I am continuing as a PhD student in the same school, in New York city.

Interest, hobbies...

I like sketching and painting, although I didn't get any formal training. I love listening to old hindi songs and watching movies. I used to play cricket. I like wasting time on my computer.

My other names...

Some of my friends call me kun. My mother sometimes calls me rahul, munna, krishna, or kartik.

Friends...

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. -- Henri Nouwen
You can see some of my friends in my pictures page or in friends page.

Quotable quotes...

I love collecting quotes on life, love and friends. Someday I will update this page with my compilation of quotes. Meanwhile you can visit the uncompiled section from the top level menu on this page.
