My Research

I am a Computer Science PhD candidate at Columbia University in New York City. My advisor is Professor Luis Gravano. My research interests include Machine Learning theory and applications, Data Mining and Information Retrieval. In particular, I'm interested in learning from real-time data streams with concept drift.

About Me

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics in 2004 from Stony Brook University, Magna Cum Laude. I went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Summa Cum Laude at Columbia University in 2005. Currently I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Columbia University.

Most of my spare time is dedicated to Columbia's ACM-W chapter - WICS. While the group itself is meant to advance women in CS, we are also interested in building a supporting and nurturing community within the computer science department as a whole. Other hobbies that I should have more time for include pilates, reading, and singing (sometimes supplemented by random karaoke stints in k-town).
