Reproves David for his adultery with Bathsheba and his murder of Uriah, 2 Sam. 12:1-15. Gives Solomon the name Jedidiah, 2 Sam. 12:25. Assists Bath-sheba in securing to Solomon, her son, the succession to the throne, 1 Kin. 1:10-14,22-27. Assists in anointing Solomon, 1 Kin. 1:32-45. Kept the chronicles, 1 Chr. 29:29; 2 Chr. 9:29. Assists David in the organization of the tabernacle, 2 Chr. 29:25.
