Course Prerequisites

Please contact the instructor if you are interested in taking the course but do not have experience with the following:

Linear algebra: vectors and matrices.
Calculus: Finding extrema of functions.
Probabilities: random variables, discrete and continuous distributions, Bayes theorem.
Programming: experience with at least one web-aware programming language such as Perl (highly recommended) or Java in a UNIX environment.
