1. When you are ready to submit, you should create a subdirectory within your homework directory called U-hwX (where U should be replaced by your uni and X should be replaced by the number of the homework being submitted, so if you are ab899@columbia.edu and submitting homework 3, the name of the directory should be ab899-hw3) and copy into it all the files you will be submitting.

    Do not include executables or any other files not listed in the "Files to be submitted" section, as they will not be graded and will only serve to irritate the grader

  2. Now enter the following command

    tar -cvzf U-hwX.tgz U-hwX

  3. Email U-hwX.tgz as an attachment to jr535@columbia.edu

    4. There is no need for a paper submission.
    Feel free to resubmit anytime up to the due date.
